How L2P works at home

L2P turns learning time into play time.
Kids earn play time by learning, and Play Apps stay locked until they do.

From parent account to paired child device.

The product is shaped around parent management first. Child devices join an existing family instead of creating a separate independent account.

1

Parent signs in

The parent creates or enters the family account using standard sign-in methods.

2

Create child profile

The family structure begins with a parent-created child profile in Parent Mode.

3

Join Family

The child device joins that specific profile through a parent-issued invitation flow.

4

Sync rule to child

Parents define the reward rule, then the child device loads those settings and applies them.

5

Start the daily loop

The child learns, earns play time, unlocks play, consumes time, and relocks at zero.

Parent Mode

What parents set

Parent-defined settings

Parents set the family rule and control the structure that the child device loads.

Reward rule

Preset ratios in Free, custom rules in Plus, always tied to earned play time.

Family visibility

Parents see today’s learning time, play time, remaining balance, app counts, and app names used.

Bonus Time

A controlled parent override for exceptions, not a replacement for learning-first access.

Child Mode

What children follow

Load parent settings

The child device receives the parent-defined rule and family setup.

Protected settings tools

Settings tools stay hidden unless a parent enables access from the parent device.

App classification

The child device identifies Learning Apps and Play Apps from the loaded settings.

Shared play-time balance

Use Learning Apps to build one play-time balance. Earned play time is shared across approved Play Apps, so children do not need separate timers.

Warning before relock

When play time is nearly used up, a short countdown warning appears before lock.

Auto relock

When the balance reaches zero, Play Apps lock again until more time is earned.

Clear rules for everyday use.

L2P is built around a few simple constraints that keep the experience understandable for families and easier to trust.

Per child

Each child has one paired device

That keeps ownership, progress, and enforcement easier to reason about for each child profile.

Daily reset

Child-local day boundary

Daily learning and play summaries reset using the child device’s local time.

Offline continuity

Cached rules still work

Child devices can continue operating from cached rules even while offline.

Summary-first

Visible, not over-tracking

Parent views focus on totals and summaries rather than surveillance-style detail by default.

Bonus Time stays secondary.

Bonus Time exists for real-world parenting exceptions, but it is intentionally framed as a parent override path. The main experience remains learning first and play second.

Progress stays separate from enforcement.

Points, levels, and Pro Rewards can motivate children, but they should not silently rewrite play-time enforcement, reward ratios, or unlock logic.
