ANDROID EARLY ACCESS

Android Waitlist Privacy Notice

A temporary list. A clear purpose. Your choice to leave.

This notice covers the L2P Android early access waitlist for adult parents and guardians, including signup, invitations, launch updates and the associated Pro offer. OTEKIK PTY LTD is responsible for this information and is the data controller where that term applies.

Joining the waitlist does not create or change an L2P app account. Existing app users are not automatically added. Any later app use or code redemption is covered by the app notices provided at that time.

1. What we collect

The only information we ask you to enter in the signup form is your email address. Tally also records submission details, such as a response identifier and submission time. We may keep necessary invitation, offer-code, withdrawal and privacy-request records as we administer the list.

Please use your own email address. We do not ask for child names, child profiles, device usage, payment details or an app password. If you contact us, we also receive the information you choose to include in your message.

The form, website and security providers may process ordinary connection and technical information, such as IP address, browser information and security signals, to deliver and protect their services. This is separate from the email field you fill in.

2. How we use your information

We use the list to send Android beta invitations and launch updates, and to administer the three-month Pro offer described on the signup form, including sending your individual code after launch. Beta participation is optional. We also use necessary records to prevent duplicate submissions and abuse, honour withdrawals, answer requests and meet legal obligations.

Signup is confirmed on screen; it does not send an automatic confirmation email. We may send the waitlist-related messages described above later. Joining does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing, and we do not sell the list or use it to profile children.

Providing an email is voluntary and is not required by law. Without it, we cannot contact you about the waitlist or send your offer code. Choosing not to join, or later leaving, does not affect your existing L2P app access or subscription.

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on your consent for waitlist emails, our legitimate interests in secure and reliable administration for necessary security records, and legal obligations where applicable. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier use.

3. Where information is stored and who receives it

Tally hosts the signup form and stores responses on our behalf. Tally is based in Belgium and states that form data is stored in Europe and encrypted in transit and at rest. Responses are available to authorised administrators and service providers as needed to operate the form; the email list is not public.

Google reCAPTCHA protects the form against spam. It processes security signals for risk analysis and sets a necessary cookie when it runs. Tally may also save unfinished answers in your browser so you can return to the form; on a shared device, avoid leaving your email in a saved draft.

Vercel hosts this website and may process ordinary request and security information when you open it. The waitlist responses themselves are stored in Tally.

For later waitlist emails, we may export the necessary email and invitation or offer details to our authorised administration records and to Resend, our email delivery provider. Resend would process recipient, message and delivery records. There is no automatic signup email or automatic transfer to the L2P app from this form.

Our administration is in Australia. Service providers and their subprocessors may process information overseas, including in Europe and the United States. European storage of Tally responses does not mean all technical or email processing stays in Europe. We use provider agreements and applicable safeguards for these transfers; contact us for details.

We limit access to people who need the information for these purposes. We may also disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims. No system can guarantee absolute security.

4. How long we keep it

This is a temporary waitlist. We will close new signups when Android officially launches, or if the programme is cancelled. Once the necessary invitations, launch communications and offer administration are complete, we will delete the waitlist responses from Tally and remove unnecessary exports and working copies.

If an offer or request is still outstanding, we keep only the minimum information needed to resolve it. We may retain limited withdrawal, security or legal records where necessary, and delete or de-identify them when that need ends. Closing the form does not automatically delete its responses.

Deletion from active systems and backup deletion may happen at different times. Tally states that deleted form data is permanently removed from its backups within 90 days. Other service providers apply their own backup and legally required retention processes.

5. Your choices and privacy requests

You can leave the list, withdraw consent to future waitlist emails, or ask to access, correct, obtain a copy of or delete your information. Email our Privacy Officer using the address below, preferably from the email you registered. Future waitlist messages will also explain how to opt out.

We may ask for the minimum information needed to verify that you control the email address. We will respond within applicable legal time limits and explain any lawful reason to retain limited records. Depending on local law, you may also have rights to portability, restriction, objection or appeal. Exercising a privacy right will not result in discriminatory treatment.

For a privacy complaint, tell us what happened and the outcome you seek. We will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the privacy regulator available where you live, including the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in Australia.
